WHEN DO YOU RESTOCK YOUR DICE?
Dice-making is not currently a full-time job for me, it’s a small-scale side business and I mostly love making dice for fun! I don’t normally have scheduled dates for restocks, but I’m hoping to be a little bit better about that in the future. WHAT IS THE PRICE RANGE OF YOUR DICE?
My product price ranges anywhere from $25 to $500. These can vary greatly depending on how the dice are made, what materials go into them and how long the piece takes me to complete. I sometimes will sell “raw dice” (more on that below) and those will be the lowest price items available.
DO YOU DO COMMISSIONS?
Yes, I sell commission deposit slots in most of my shop drops when commission slots are open. The deposit is $50.
This is the description on my product listing for commissions:
“This item is the purchase of a deposit for a custom dice. Set, chonk, the whole shebang if you want everything in the Nailo Dice arsenal.
The deposit is not the final price for the set, which will be determined at a later time after reviewing the commission order form.
Deposits are refundable if cancellation is necessary prior to the start of the customization process from either parties.
Deposits will not be refundable once the customization process has begun.
Lead times for custom dice completion may take 2 - 3 weeks depending on your position on the wait-list. Wait-list fulfillment may take up to 2 -3 months.
You must include your email in your purchase as you will be emailed a google form to fill out once the purchase has been made. This form will be a starting point for future correspondence and the project ideation process.”
PRE-ORDERS?
I don’t do any pre-orders yet, but once I can iron things out a little, they will function simultaneously with commissions. The turnaround time is based on the waitlist and pre-orders will be fulfilled with priority over commission-based projects.
CAN I RESERVE A SET I SAW ON INSTAGRAM?
Not usually. My posting schedule is rather inconsistent, so honestly, most of the time you’ll be seeing things that have already gone off to new homes. I also want to keep things fair for anyone who is wanting to purchase and will mostly only ever release things within a shop drop.

WHAT ARE YOUR DICE MADE OUT OF?
My dice are made out of a 2-part epoxy resin. Depending on the design, other materials can include resin dye, pigment paste, mica powders, glitters, florals, and other miscellaneous inclusions.
BUT ARE YOUR DICE BALANCED?
No. The dice made at Nailo Dice are probably not balanced. The ONLY dice that can claim to be perfectly balanced are those used in casinos. (There’s a whole thing with the size and depth of the pips and the type of paint used etc.)
All dice made from any large company will not be balanced either, and usually have even more flaws in their balance than handmade dice made by individual artists.
With that being said, I do my best to make sure that nothing I put into my dice will drastically change the weight of the piece. I use a combination of both a vacuum and pressure pot to minimize the chances of bubbles in my finished pieces. Due to the nature of small batch creation and the care that can be taken in making artisan dice,there is little chance that handmade dice will be less balanced than anything factory made.
The dice made at Nailo Dice are suitable for both casual and serious Tabletop Role Playing Games. They are not designed for gambling.
DO YOUR DICE HAVE FLAWS?
Yes. While some may be close to perfect, perfection is also subjective.
These products, while developed with digital technologies, are still hand-crafted. Each and every die made here has had to pass through my hands. There is an inevitability with the nature of these particular resin-crafted dice that will potentially have slight mold markings, micro-scratches, tiny bubbles or other minor flaws. I will never sell anything I wouldn’t be happy to receive myself. Any major flaws will always be visible in the “Flaws” section of a product listing.
HOW TO TAKE CARE OF DICE
To best maintain the quality of your dice:
- Roll them on a soft, padded surface.
- Avoid storing in direct sunlight.
- Avoid storing in extreme temperatures.
- Avoid getting dice wet or washing the dice.
- Clean with a microfiber cloth.
Note: Resin dice may appear "soft" if shipped during or stored in hot temperatures. Please allow your dice to cool off to room temperature before handling. Be sure they are not touching upon arrival. If dice are handled when they are too hot you may unintentionally damage them.

SMALL PARTS! PLEASE KEEP OUT OF REACH OF CHILDREN AND PETS
Nailo Dice are sharp-edged dice. Please handle with caution. Especially the D8, D6 and D4 in the polyhedral sets.
These dice are made from epoxy resin.

WHAT THE HECK ARE RAW DICE?
Raw dice are dice that are pulled fresh from the molds. They will not be sanded. They will not be polished. They will not be inked. I will likely cut away any dangerous bits, but the surfaces will be whatever is pulled from the mold. These types of dice are perfect for folks who are interested in sanding and finishing them on their own! The DIYer if you will!
